Amenities-Our facility includes a 160x60 indoor arena,5 stall crosstie area, wash rack, heated restroom, large tack room with individual lockers, heated restroom, round pen & access to trails.
Full Care Boarding- We occasionally have room for a boarded horse or two. At this time we could take in one boarded horse or 2 training horses. All board is full care and includes use of the entire facility. We feed 12% sweet feed and mixed hay. Feeding is done twice daily. Turnout is offered daily when weather provides. Geldings are turned out separately from mares. Horses on turnout must have their back shoes removed. This is for the safety of other horses. (We do not offer boarding for situations involving unsupervised children.) Young people are generally involved in our lesson program. We have an established routine of care and cannot accommodate horses on a feeding or turnout schedule that is different from what we offer. If a horse requires care from what is normally given and if we can help you additional charges may apply. We welcome the retired show horse!

Riders under the age of 18 must wear a helmet. We encourage all others to wear them, as you ride at your own risk. (no exceptions!) Children are to be supervised by an adult at all times (this means parent or guardian) unless special arrangements have been made. i.e. a student or boarder is here to volunteer or take a lesson children are not to be left unattended by their parents. Riding Lessons- Our riding lesson program is open to ages 9 and up, riders under 150 pounds (due to the size and age of many of our lesson horses). We have a couple of larger horses suitable for intermediate riders who can carry riders up to 170 pounds. Lessons are given in groups of between two to four (occasionally 5) riders. We start beginners in basic hunt seat with emphasis on advancing to saddleseat. All students learn good basic, safe handling and grooming in addition to receiving riding instruction.
Driving lessons-Also an option. They can be included in smaller group sessions or done as private lessons-See rates below.
Requirements for riding/driving lessons-All students/riders under the age of 18 must wear a helment. Sensible shoes, i.e. paddock boots/riding boots of some type are strongly suggested. Something with a low heel and little tread is safest. While we have helmets available, it may be best to have your own.
Lesson days-Monday through Thursday at either 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. (depending upon availability of lesson horses) Cost- $130.00 for a package of 5 lessons starting January 2010, or individuals may be purchased at $35.00 each. All lessons/packages are prepaid in order to enroll a student. (lesson packages are valid for 6 months and are not extendable ) Private lessons-scheduled on select Friday or Saturdays at $45.00 per hour (there is no reduced rate for private lesson packages)
Gift Certificates are available for lesson packages! (Gift certificates are valid for 6 months. They're not extendable)
Privately owned horses-Sometimes customers prefer to ride their own horses during lessons, especially those they plan to show. Outside horses can be included in group lessons if they work well in group situations. A test run to our facility is in order before any lessons can be scheduled to make sure horses are comfortable in a new environment. Boarded horses are also welcome, and encouraged to participate in lessons. (All horses trailered in for group or private lessons must show vaccination records and coggins tests.) Riding lesson goals? Are you looking simply for something fun to do each week? Or are you and/or your child interested in going to horse shows? Be sure to share your interests! We'd love to help!
Riding lesson cancellation policy- Cancellations must be made by the day of the lesson by phone, (not email). We prefer notice by 12:00 noon the day of. However if we're at least given 2 hours before the lesson is to start we still have some time to check the waiting list for someone else who may be waitiing for an opening. If the lesson is cancelled less than an hour before it's scheduled to start the lesson my be forfeited. Again, please do not cancel by email unless you're notifying me days in advance. Late arrivals- If you're more than ten minutes late you may be forfeiting the lesson as others may be ready to ride. Please plan ahead to be considerate to others. If you think you may be late be sure to call my cell 513-267-9798. Thanks
